Each fragrance within our Luna range has been carefully selected by our in-house product development team and has been tested to ensure the quality of the fragrance is of the highest standard.
Top
When a fragrance is developed it generally consists of top, middle and bottom notes. Top notes are what your senses pick up on first, but are normally the first notes to disappear. They do have quite a high importance, as they are the first impression you will have on a fragrance. Standard top notes include anything from the citrus family, fruity scents or fresh herbs.
Middle
Once the top notes start to fade, your introduction to the middle notes begins. Middle notes are usually made up of ingredients that are considered more full-bodied than top note ingredients. These become the more dominant notes within the overall fragrance and make up 40-60% of the final scent. Ingredients frequently used as middle notes include full-bodied florals (such as rose, jasmine, lavender), or lighter herbs and spices (such as cinnamon, nutmeg, lemongrass).
Bottom
Finally, once all top notes have evaporated, our bottom notes will make their appearance. These notes will make up 10-25% of the final scent and tend to linger longer due to their deep and rich nature. They are what leave a lasting impression of the overall fragrance and are often made up of woody notes and musk aromas (such as sandalwood, patchouli, vetiver) as well as heavier spices (such as vanilla, tonka bean, clove).
